P.J. Colbeck is the author
of the Small Business Pocket Consultant Series and founder of
Perspective Shifts, LLC.
He has more than 20 years experience spanning multiple industries
including Aerospace, Defense, Pharmaceuticals, Telecom, Automotive,
Information Technology, and Financial Services.
The business processes that he addressed in these industries include
accounting, human resources, product development, purchasing,
manufacturing, sales, marketing, and information technology. This
broad exposure to the inner workings of most businesses has yielded
significant insights into how businesses operate. This experience
base coupled with his education in engineering methodologies
provides a unique perspective on how to design businesses to perform
more effectively.
Mr. Colbeck has served as
a regular lecturer at Space Camp in Huntsville, AL and has designed
several systems currently in operation aboard the International
Space Station. Mr.
Colbeck now applies his passion for advanced engineering to
improving the performance of businesses through information
technology. He has been
certified by Microsoft as a Small Business Specialist and is the
winner of the 2002 Microsoft Business Value Challenge for
Professional Services Automation Solutions.
Mr. Colbeck is a graduate of the University of Michigan with
B.S. and M.S. degrees in Aerospace Engineering and also a graduate
of the International Space University in Strasbourg, France.
